Featured Shop
Il Gatto Selvatico

I cruise Etsy pretty often. Ok... well maybe a lot. But I do share the cool stuff I find, so it's not like I'm doing it just for me.

{WINK WINK}

So anyways, I find cool shops along the way that
are making fun, unique handmade things...

How bout a handstitched map of Idaho?
Or maybe a sapphire for someone special
who was born in September?

 At Il Gatto Selvatico, you will find many kinds of fiber arts, from embroidered jewelry to knit sweaters, cool scarves and cozy shrugs perfect for fall.

Penelope Reichley, the artist behind Il Gatto Selvatico, explains her inspiration to create such fun wearable art:
"In my shop you will find embroidered necklaces (some of maps), earrings, brooches and rings, leather jewelry, felted bags and knitted clothing and accessories. I started knitting, spinning and sewing at an early age and I have loved it ever since. My aesthetic is rooted in Native American and bohemian style designs and in folk art, since my background is in Art. I studied sculpture at Tyler School of Art, as an artist and a crafter I have a great attention to detail and love of intricate folk and classical art, I mix my love of crafts with my love of art completely in both endeavors."
