Handmade Gifts:
BACON Neckwear

Jenni and Cinelle, the genius behind BACON, met at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City three and a half years ago. Both found their way to fashion school through their common love for wearable art. BACON began as a gift project for Cinelle’s boyfriend, Stephen. After an unfortunate and unsuccessful hunt for the perfect tie that embodied Stephen’s preppy yet trendy style, Jenni and Cinelle decided that there is no better gift than a handmade present! Half a year later, the girls took an adventurous plunge to the dirty South (Athens, GA) and decided to merge their New York style-cum-sass with their new-found pleasure for things classically Southern, and started an accessory line.

BACON's neckwear consists of neckties, bowties, scarf-ties and bows; for men, women, boys and girls. BACON strives to create what other companies haven't, and hope that the accessory purchased will be the one article the wearer can't ever live without. Versatility is their friend, and create wearable art for those who like Dressing Up.

What sets BACON neckwear apart from other ties is exactly what sets each tie-wearer from the rest... to each tie its own attitude, personality and function. Their products are always handmade, never compromising the uniqueness of each one. Jenni and Cinelle's combined backgrounds in art history and tailored construction produce pieces that are a good enough reason to call neckwear the “newest art form.”

BACON also has special edition ties that are specifically designed with eco-consciousness in mind. They recycle fabrics from used and vintage clothing to stay en vogue while helping restore things back to Eden.

Jenni and Cinelle are inspired by everything from bicyclists, the American Gangster, Scottish clan tartans and nocturnal creatures to quality fabrics, romance, our own stories and histories, fratboys and celebrities.

Jenni and Cinelle feel their hands are their most valuable possession... their machine... their powerhouse... Not one of their pieces goes without passing through their cutting, stitching, hemming, folding, painting hands. BACON fully supports the Handmade Movement and the shift towards sustaining local communities by selling, purchasing and trading handmade goods.
